The secondary characters are all immensely likeable. The animals in the book are wonderful and are a part of the story, from Bones the abandoned kitten, to Gertie the St Bernard, to Peanut the parrot.
The veterinary setting enhanced the reading experience for me. It’s your typical romance, with chemistry and attraction sizzling between the two protagonists, and you know from the very first page that they’ll end up together, you just don’t know how they’re going to overcome all the obstacles they face along the way.
